Mercer Island City Council announces special meetings

On Friday, Sept. 23, the council will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. at the Community and Event Center to conduct City Manager candidate interviews, including an Executive Session at 3 p.m. to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(g).

Every Tuesday from Sept. 27 to Dec. 27, the council will hold special meetings at 9 a.m. for an Executive Session to discuss (with legal counsel) pending or potential litigation pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 90 minutes. The meetings will take place at City Hall.

On Friday, Sept. 30, the council will hold a Micro-Planning Session regarding the exploration of operating and capital levy lid lift ballot measures in 2017. The meeting will be held from from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Community and Event Center.

The next regular meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 4, rescheduled from Monday due the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
