Mercer Island’s Blake Wright scored the first goal of the match, assisted by Josh Lee in the 8th minute of the game.

Mount Si scored just two minutes later, when Aaron Baumgarder, assisted by Alex Censullo hit the back of the net.

The game remained tied until the 56th minute when Ryan Hill, assisted by Wright, score to lift the Islanders to a 2-1 lead.

Wright scored his second goal of the game in the 62nd minute, again assisted by Lee.

The Islanders are now tied with the Wildcats for second place in the league. Mercer Island is 3-0-3 in league, while Mount Si is 4-2-0. The Islanders are 4-1-3 overall.

Mercer Island will host Bellevue on Tuesday, April 9 in a tribute game to former head coach Steve Newman. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. at Mercer Island High School.
