The Mercer Island baseball team notched another non conference win on Thursday, March 28, beating Nathan Hale 9-1 at Island Crest Park.

The Mercer Island baseball team notched another non conference win on Thursday, March 28, beating Nathan Hale 9-1 at Island Crest Park.

Mercer Island hit well early on, scoring four runs in the first inning, followed by two in the second for a 6-0 lead. Nathan Hale score it’s only run of the match in the fourth inning, but Mercer Island continued to lead the game 7-1 going into the fifth round. Another two in the bottom of the fifth for Mercer Island sealed with win.

The Islanders had 14 hits and no errors in the game, while Nathan Hale had four hits and three errors.

The Islanders will play at Lake Washington on Monday, April 1 at Lee Johnson field in downtown Kirkland starting at 7 p.m.
