Mercer Island led the game 27-26 at halftime and Bellevue outscored the Islanders 11-9 in the third quarter for a 37-36 Bellevue lead going into the final minutes of the match. Those few extra points in the third quarter gave Bellevue the edge and though both teams scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, a final shot from Mercer Island which didn’t sink finished the game.

Kaleb Warner scored 15 points for the Islanders and Nick Nordale had 14 overall. Joe Rasmussen posted 11 points for the team, while Jake Shaddle added five, Espen Platou posted three and Jake Stenberg scored two points.

The Islanders will host Liberty on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. the final home game of the regular season. The team will play the final game of the regular season on Thursday, Jan. 31 at Lake Washington at 7:30 p.m.

The Islanders are 11-1 in KingCo and 16-2 overall.
