Mercer Island Relay for Life raises over $80,000 for American Cancer Society

The Mercer Island High School's annual Relay for Life event took place last weekend at the high school. Over 70 teams participated in the event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society.

The Mercer Island High School’s annual Relay for Life event took place last weekend at the high school. Over 70 teams participated in the event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society.

The 70 teams and 529 participants in the 24 hour event raised over $80,000.

The Mercer Island High School staff team raised $4,300, while JoAnn Hornsten had the most contributions, raising $2,500.
