The Mercer Island School District Board of Directors will hold their December meeting on Thursday, Dec. 15 beginning at 6 p.m. in the board room.

The board plans to start the evening with recognition of the Mercer Island High School swim team which won the 3A state title this fall, as well as Lakeridge Elementary student artwork and projects.

The board will then discuss the 21st Century Facilities master plan, including the timing of the election for a bond issue, seismic issues and the scope of the modernization of the plan. That discussion is slated to last an hour.

The board plans to hold a retreat on Jan. 19, as well as a special meeting on Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. at West Mercer Elementary to go over the finalized timeline for the 21st Century Facilities plan.
