The City of Mercer Island, along with other cities around the state, are working on updates to the six-year transportation improvement plan (TIP). The plan includes roadway, pedestrian and bike projects planned out for six years, starting in 2013.
Public comment for the Mercer Island plan began April 1 and runs throughout the month.
Anyone interested in learning more can view the TIP, adopted by the City in 2011, online at www.mercergov.org/TIP.
The City will hold a public hearing on the draft at the May 21 Council meeting at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The plan is scheduled to be adopted by the Council on June 18.
