Two Mercer Island High School students recently took part in the Seattle Maritime Festival’s Quick and Dirty boat building contest.

On Saturday, May 12, Marek Prussak and Ezra Tucker had to build a boat from scratch that was seaworthy and take it for a short trip on the water.

The duo were the only students this year, competing against professional teams. In total 14 groups participated in the contest.
