Mercer Island students excel at Johns Hopkins

Seven Island residents were named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2010 semester at The Johns Hopkins University. To be selected for this honor, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in a program of at least 14 credits with at least 12 graded credits.

Kevin Ke of Mercer Island  is the son of Sherman Ke and Julie Liang, and attended Lakeside School in Seattle, Wash. Ke, who is majoring in political science, will graduate in May 2013.

Julia Gittelman is the daughter of Arye and Eleanor Gittelman, and attended Mercer Island High School. Gittelman, who is majoring in mathematics, will graduate in May 2013.

Kevin Kuo is the son of Andrew and Candice Kuo, and attended Mercer Island High School. Kuo, who is majoring in chemical and biomolecular engineering, will graduate in May 2011.

Brian Lee is the son of Jong and Chong Lee, and attended Mercer Island High School. Lee, who is majoring in neuroscience, will graduate in May 2013.

Conan So of Mercer Island is the son of Solomon So and Pauline Lo, and attended Interlake High School in Bellevue. Conan So, who is majoring in biomedical engineering, will graduate in May 2012.

Ernest So of Mercer Island is the son of Solomon So and Pauline Lo, and attended Interlake High School in Bellevue. So, who is majoring in biomedical engineering, will graduate in May 2014.

Eric Stadius is the son of Michael Stadius and Linda Fairchild, and attended Mercer Island High School. Stadius, who is majoring in an arts and sciences pre-major, will graduate in May 2014.
