MIHS seniors celebrate baccalaureate

A plethora of Mercer Island High School Class of 2024 seniors celebrate their baccalaureate at a ceremony titled “Always Stay Humble & Kind” on May 30 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The special event has been an Island tradition for many decades and an estimated 50 guests were in attendance. The program reads, in part: “This evening, we give thanks for learning and wisdom. We are honored to celebrate the various faith traditions represented by the Class of 2024. We hope these values and beliefs, along with the fellowship of this caring community, will continue to guide our graduates and youth.” The event included students speaking about their faiths, clergy speakers, a class blessing, musical performances and more.
