July 11

DROWNING: Human remains were recovered by the Mercer Island dive team at 8:34 a.m. in the 2200 block of 60th Ave. SE. The King County medical examiner took possession of the body.

July 13

PROWLING: Gifts, toys and $120 in rolled quarters were stolen from an unlocked motor home parked in the lot behind the registration office at Shorewood Heights at 11:18 a.m.

MARINE: A vessel collided with a dock and ran aground at 2:28 p.m. in the 11000 block of S. Lake Washington Way. There was no damage to the vessel or dock.

July 14

INFORMATIONAL REPORT: An 88-year-old man appeared to jump off a balcony to commit suicide at 5:21 p.m. in the 7800 block of SE 30th St. Life-saving efforts ceased when medics arrived. The King County medical examiner took custody of the body.

DISTURBANCE: A woman reported that her sister was being assaulted by her ex-husband and was locked in an apartment with him at 8 p.m. in the 2700 block of 78th Ave. SE. Bellevue Police Department’s SWAT team assisted with the incident. The victim was not harmed and was not home during the supposed incident. The woman who reported it has possible mental/emotional issues.

INFORMATIONAL REPORT: Police responded to a property line dispute regarding a tree that was cut down in the 4300 block of Fernbrook Drive at 9:44 a.m.

July 15

SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A suicidal subject requested police contact at 1:01 p.m. in the 2900 block of 76th Ave. SE and was taken to the hospital.

MISSING PERSON: A 16-year-old female was reported missing by her mother at 9:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of E. Shorewood Drive.

July 16

THEFT: A bicycle was reported stolen at 5:31 p.m. in the 2900 block of 78th Ave. SE.

MORE THEFT: Gasoline was reported stolen at 11:08 p.m. in the 7600 block of Sunset Highway.

July 17

MISSING PERSON: A juvenile female who had been recently located and cleared as a missing person broke out of her mom’s apartment in the 9000 block of E. Shorewood Drive at 1:05 a.m. and fled the area again.

WARRANT ARREST: Police arrested a subject at 7:17 a.m. in the 3000 block of 78th Ave. SE on a felony warrant.

RUNAWAY: At 9:24 a.m. in the 3700 block of 84th Ave. SE, a woman reported that her 17-year-old daughter ran away again.

ANOTHER RUNAWAY: At 7:07 p.m. in the 9000 block of E. Shorewood Drive, a woman said her daughter left home the previous night with two packed bags. She did not have her phone and her mother did not know where she was staying. Police said she may be with a fellow runaway.

July 18

THEFT: An iPhone was reported stolen from a checkout stand at QFC in the 8400 block of SE 68th St. at 4:42 p.m.

July 20

BURGLARY?: A victim said that someone had attempted to enter her residence at 11:52 a.m. in the 7900 block of SE 65th St. via her skylight. The skylight’s exterior pane was shattered by an unknown object, but entry was not made. Police said that the damage was probably caused by other factors, such as an object falling and striking the window, and that an attempted burglary was unlikely.

CAR THEFT: A pickup truck was reported stolen from a driveway in the 2700 block of 70th Ave. SE at 8:52 a.m.

BURGLARY: Police responded to a burglary reported at 7:13 p.m. in the 2000 block of 80th Ave. SE.

July 22

DOMESTIC: A father allegedly assaulted his daughter in the 6100 block of W. Mercer Way at 1:21 a.m., and was arrested, processed and transported to Overlake Medical Center for evaluation.
