Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) is holding its annual Treasures in Miniature show, a small format art show with a record number of entries from more than 60 artists. This year, artists have also donated special pieces in blue and yellow with all proceeds going to support Ukrainian humanitarian needs. The wall includes a variety of styles by award-winning artists in several mediums.

Art making is a great connector of people to issues, allowing freedom of expression and the ability to share messages visually across cultures. Artists from this show have described the process of making the art as a way to connect to the spirit of the people who are facing such difficult conditions, and to try to transcend the suffering that comes with watching the daily newscasts.

It is hoped that people will come to see the show and make a donation and take home a piece from this lovely collection to enhance their home as well as be a symbol of support and strength for the Ukrainian people.
