Movies in the park are back
The Movies in the Park program, put on by the city’s Parks and Recreation department, is back after a two year hiatus due to budget cuts.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” will be shown at 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 22 to continue the pirate fun from Summer Celebration!, and “Ratatouille” will be at 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 28. The movies are held in Mercerdale Park on a giant inflatable screen.
‘Mostly Music’ schedule is set
It is time once again for ‘Mostly Music in the Park.’ All concerts are from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted, in Mercerdale Park. Admission is free. In case of rain, concerts may be cancelled and possibly rescheduled. Call 206-275-7609 on questionable weather days for concert updates.

The brochures for this summer’s ‘Mostly Music in the Park’ will be included in utility bills for Mercer Island residents in May and June.
Enjoy summer with Shakespeare
