Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano will be on hand to help usher in the 2015 Mercer Island Little League Opening Day ceremonies Saturday, April 18 at South Mercer Playfields.

Cano is scheduled to speak at the morning event before the Mariners’ evening matchup at 6:10 p.m. against the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field.

Ceremonies will begin at 10:45 a.m. The South Mercer Playfields are located at the south end of Mercer Island, across from Lakeridge Elementary School.
