A 20-year-old Shoreline man was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 19, on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. The arrest occurred on westbound Interstate 90, after the driver failed to stop for a traffic sign in the 7600 block of North Mercer Way. The man continued to drive his purple, 1996 Ford Probe onto the I-90 onramp after police signaled him to stop. A search of the vehicle resulted in finding assorted drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale and three glass snorting tubes. The driver also was wanted on a $3,000 arrest warrant out of the King County Sheriff’s Office. He was processed by Mercer Island Police and booked into Renton City Jail.
