Disturbance: It was reported that an altercation took place between an alleged shoplifting suspect and witnesses at a business in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street.

Sept. 3

Sign of the times: It was reported that someone damaged campaign signs on Island Crest Way.

Sept. 2

Burglary: It was reported that someone stole security camera equipment from inside a business in the 8700 block of Southeast 71st Street.

Stolen vehicle recovered: Police officers followed a stolen vehicle out of the city in the 7400 block of West Mercer Way and later recovered it in a neighboring city.

Disturbance: A physical altercation was reported over mask and vaccine use in the 7900 block of Southeast 28th Street.

Aug. 31

Fraud: A resident in the 9000 block of East Shorewood Drive fell victim to a widely known check-cashing scheme.

Collision: A driver accidentally reversed their vehicle into a building in the 2700 block of 77th Avenue Southeast.

Aug. 30

Harassment: A resident in the 2900 block of 76th Avenue Southeast reported receiving threatening calls.
