Right on, Mr. Smith, (letter to the editor, “Post office blues,” Oct. 28). Standing in line that goes out to the street, with only one person working at the counter and other workers sauntering back and forth like they have nothing to do, has been going on for as long as I can remember. I have lived on Mercer Island for 40 years. Because the Mercer Island post office is the closest one for all of us, it’s a shame that we have to put up with this nonsense.
