Quigley-Senff will discuss ‘35 Years of Women in Rotary’ at May 3 meeting

Linda Quigley-Senff will discuss “35 Years of Women in Rotary” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. on May 3 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. It is Rotary’s first in-person meeting in more than two years. Bring your brown bag lunch.

As the first woman president of the Rotary Club of Mercer Island, serving in this position from 1999-2000, she will speak on the topic of women in Rotary and the challenges they have faced since 1987 when women were first admitted to Rotary.

She is now in her 34th year as a Rotarian and is an active member of the Rotary Club of South Whidbey, serving as that club’s president from 2017-2018. She started a committee within the club that has helped out the local food bank as well as other groups, including the Senior Thrift Store and Whidbey Island Nourishes (which prepares lunches for school children).
