Register for CERT training
Are you prepared to respond when a disaster strikes? Do you know how to take care of your family, your neighbors and your community when an earthquake hits?
The city’s seven-week Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course is a great way to gain the training you will need to assist in a wide range of situations. The free course meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at City Hall, starting on Sept. 7.
Classes will be held in the new Emergency Operation Center located in the northwest corner of City Hall, next to the loading dock.
Come meet your neighbors, and learn in a fun, relaxed environment. Fifteen slots remained as of last week.
Contact the city’s Emergency Manager, MIPD Officer Jennifer Franklin, to register at 206-275-7905 or Jennifer.Franklin@mercergov.org.
