At the King County Parent and Family Coalition annual picnic in Renton, the Arc of King County recognized Rep. Tana Senn (D-Mercer Island) with the Legislative Champion award for her legislative work on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

“Congratulations for once again being a superstar for us,” said Joe Cunningham, the former Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator of the Arc of King County, referencing the fact that Senn received this award last year as well.

“In addition to helping usher important policies through committee, I am honored to represent the House Democrats during budget negotiations on disability issues,” said Senn.

Senn is the vice chair of the Early Learning and Human Services Committee, serves on the Appropriations Committee and was recently elected co-chair of the Children’s Mental Health Workgroup.

Senn is the state representative in the 41st Legislative District, including Bellevue, Beaux Arts Village, Issaquah, Sammamish, Mercer Island, Renton and Newcastle.
