Theft: It was reported that a subject allegedly stole a resident’s engagement ring in the 4100 block of 100th Avenue Southeast.

Nov. 5

Theft: A subject swiped laundry supplies and fled on foot in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street.

Fraud: A resident in the 3000 block of 62nd Avenue Southeast reported that a suspect used the resident’s personal information to open a credit card line at a retailer.

Nov. 4

Fraud: A resident in the 9600 block of Southeast 36th Street reported receiving a phone call from someone impersonating a Mercer Island police officer.

Nov. 2

Vehicle prowl: After a victim’s phone was stolen from inside her vehicle in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street, suspects fled in a vehicle that was later reported stolen out of Bellevue.

Malicious mischief: Tagging was spotted on a parking garage in the 7800 block of North Mercer Way.

Nov. 1

Vehicle theft: A few days after a resident in the 2600 block of 77th Avenue Southeast reported his van stolen, police officers recovered the vehicle when spotting it parked at the Park & Ride.

Burglary: A subject who sneaked into a business after hours and pried open the cash register was noticed by employees and departed sans cash in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street.

Oct. 31

Fraud: A resident in the 7200 block of 91st Avenue Southeast reported discovering from a collection agency that someone used the resident’s information to open a retail credit account out of state.
