Aug. 6

TRAFFIC OFFENSES: Police stopped a subject in the 9000 block of eastbound I-90 at 7:24 p.m. who was found to be driving with a suspended license.

Aug. 7

FRAUD: A victim in the 3200 block of W. Concord Way reported at 8:49 a.m. that money was fraudulently withdrawn from their account.

Aug. 8

WARRANT ARREST: A vehicle was stopped for speeding at 2:06 p.m. in the 3600 block of Island Crest Way. The driver was arrested on a Mercer Island warrant for driving with a suspended license, and transported to Issaquah Jail.

Aug. 9

ARREST: A subject was arrested for an outstanding Renton warrant at 3:48 p.m. in the 2700 block of 76th Ave. SE.

ANOTHER ARREST: A Mercer Island Municipal Court warrant arrest was reported at 5:54 p.m. in the 20800 block of 17th Ave. S.

Aug. 10

THEFT: A bicycle was reported stolen at 10:29 a.m. out of the parking garage at the Island Square apartments, for a loss of $700.

WARRANT ARREST: A subject was arrested by the King County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding MIPD warrant. The subject was transported and booked into Issaquah Jail at 5:28 p.m.

Aug. 11

BURGLARY: An Island woman left her home in the 3000 block of W. Mercer Way for about an hour, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:54 a.m., and said her home was burglarized during that time. The master bedroom was rummaged through and several items were stolen. There was no forced entry, and it appeared that the front door was left unsecured. A canvas of the area was conducted, but there were no witnesses.

PROWLING: An unlocked vehicle was prowled in a driveway in the 3000 block of W. Mercer Way. The incident, which involved the theft of a GPS from inside the car, was reported at 8:45 p.m.

Aug. 12

THEFT: $86.51 in change was reported stolen at 5:43 p.m. in the 7700 block of SE 34th St.

STOLEN PHONE: A victim reported that his iPhone was stolen at the South end QFC.

WARRANT ARREST: A subject was rebooked into SCORE Jail on Mercer Island warrants at 6:18 p.m.

BURGLARY: A victim reported that someone stole a safe from their garage in the 6200 block of 84th Ave. SE at 7:07 p.m.

Aug. 13

PROWLING: A victim reported that their unlocked vehicle was prowled in the 2400 block of 76th Ave. SE. at 7:14 p.m., for a loss of several thousands of dollars in sport and golf equipment.

Aug. 14

FORGERY: Credit/debit card data was reported to be forged at 1:25 p.m. in the 7600 block of SE 29th St.

Aug. 15

DEATH INVESTIGATION: A 90-year-old woman was found dead of natural causes at her residence in the 2000 block of 82nd Ave. SE at 10:02 a.m.
