Seniors from MIHS 2022 graduating class attend interfaith baccalaureate

Seniors from the Mercer Island High School Class of 2022 gathered at the United Methodist Church on June 7 for an interfaith baccalaureate sponsored by the Mercer Island Clergy Association. The theme of the night was “May Peace Prevail.” Several seniors spoke on how their faith makes a difference in their lives. The keynote address was offered by Rev. Rhonda Bostrom, the new pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. At the end of the program, Chaplain Greg Asimakoupoulos offered a blessing over the class before one of the seniors blew the shofar invoking God’s peace. Courtesy of Greg Asimakoupoulos
