April 3

Theft: An Island woman reported that her bike and lock were stolen from a locked storage unit at the 10:56 a.m. at the 7600 block of SE 27th St.

April 4

Fraud: An Island man and woman reported identity theft, criminal impersonation and forgery at 10:51 a.m. at the 8400 block of SE 47th St. They received notice that someone filed a fraudulent tax return using their information.

April 5

Mischief: An Island man said his car was vandalized while parked in his driveway at 7:27 a.m. at the 4700 block of 86th Ave. SE. The car was doused with whiteout and tagged with a black marker. Both right tires were slashed and the right and left sides of the cars were keyed, for an estimated $5,000 in damages.

Theft: An Everett woman reported at 11:05 a.m. that someone stole the tabs off her license plate while her car was parked at the McDonald’s on 78th Avenue Southeast.

Fraud: An Island man and woman reported that their personal information was used to open a charge account without their permission at 3:20 p.m. at the 7200 block of 92nd Ave. SE.

Found property: A mountain bike was found at the 8000 block of SE 71st St. It did belong to any of the neighbors, and was placed in the sally port at the police department.

April 7

Found property: A child’s bike was found at the 3200 block of 78th Ave. SE.

April 8

Arrest: Police stopped a subject at 1:13 a.m. at the 9600 block of eastbound I-90 for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested and booked into SCORE Jail on a misdemeanor warrant.

April 9

Prowling: An Island woman said her car was prowled and her laptop was stolen at 7:30 a.m. at the 2400 block of 76th Ave. SE. It was parked in the secure Aviara garage, and the driver’s side window was smashed. There were multiple car prowls reported in the garage.

Same MO: Another Island woman reported that her car was prowled in the Aviara garage at 8:40 a.m. The rear driver’s side window was smashed, causing $300 in damage, though nothing was taken.

Another prowl: An Island man said his car was also prowled in the Aviara garage at 8:40 a.m. The driver’s side window was smashed and an extensive amount of property was taken.

More prowling: Related to other incidents, an Island man said his car was prowled in the Aviara garage at 11:21 a.m. The passenger window was broken. No suspects or evidence were identified.

April 10

Warrant arrest: A subject was contacted by Washington State Patrol on a traffic violation and found to have a Mercer Island warrant for driving with a suspended license. Mercer Island police took custody of the subject, who was transported to Issaquah Jail.
