Shores residents raise money for good cause

Mercer Island Covenant Living at the Shores residents and employees participated in their ninth annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to support the American Cancer Society (ACS). Those resident cancer survivors made the first lap of the walk to kick things off. So far, residents and employees raised more than $4,000 to support the Seattle Making Strides. The team has been one of the top fundraisers in Seattle area every year. Roxanne Stickney, resident life director and breast cancer survivor, started the walk in 2015 to show support to campus residents and families affected by breast cancer. She is thankful for the opportunity to support ACS and the awareness it raises to save lives.
