Order violation: In the 9000 block of East Shorewood Drive, police cited a suspect for violating an active protection order by contacting the protected person.
Dec. 21
Theft: A resident in the 9300 block of Southeast 36th Street reported that while he was transferring crypto currency through Trezor.io, he was prompted to restore his account and soon found approximately $260,000 worth of fraudulent transfers made out of his crypto wallet. An FBI report has been completed.
Liquor violation: At a party involving underage drinking in the 8900 block of North Mercer Way, police assisted the fire department with aiding an unconscious female who was then transported to Overlake Hospital.

Eggers spotted: A resident in the 4800 block of 88th Avenue Southeast reported that his surveillance cameras caught four people — possibly juveniles — egging his house.
Dec. 24
Traffic stop: Police engaged in a traffic stop in the 2200 block of West Mercer Way and arrested the driver for first-degree driving while license suspended and an ignition interlock violation. According to the Washington State Attorneys website, the gross misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail and a $5,000 fine. “While the maximum is not typically given to individuals convicted of this, there is a mandatory 10 days in jail with a conviction, which also comes with a one-year license suspension which will be added to your current suspension. Your license is suspended in the 1 (degree) when you have been classified as a habitual traffic offender,” the site added.
Traffic stop: Police arrested a driver for second-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in the 3500 block of North Mercer Way. The gross misdemeanor charge can result in a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail and a $5,000 fine, comes with a one-year license suspension and counts as a strike for habitual traffic offender status, according to the Washington State Attorneys website.

Warrant arrest: The Seattle Police Department confirmed a Mercer Island Police Department third-degree theft warrant. The subject was booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail in Des Moines. According to the Washington State Legislature site, theft three is a gross misdemeanor and is theft of property or services that don’t exceed $750 in value.
Dec. 27
Theft: Police arrested a man at a market in the 2700 block of 77th Avenue Southeast for stealing $38.97 worth of food. He was contacted and arrested for third-degree theft, cited and released.
Dec. 28
Warrant arrest: A member of the King County Sheriff’s Office booked a subject into the Issaquah City Jail at the Mercer Island Police Department’s request on an outstanding Island warrant for failure to transfer title within 45 days.
