In this era of too much bad news, I want to give a positive shoutout and thanks to the MIPD and their efforts recently to apprehend a home burglar and recover stolen property. My home was recently burglarized, and valuable items were taken. Not only did MIPD respond promptly that night, but I was to find out later that they pursued the burglar, confiscated the van used in the burglary, and recovered all of the stolen property that had been taken from my residence. Within a few days, the property, some of which had sentimental value, was returned to me by detectives on the case who couldn’t have been nicer. I want to especially acknowledge the assistance, professionalism and understanding of Detectives Erickson, Schumacher, Roggenkamp and Marcroft. Thanks guys, and thank you Chief Holmes for your good work. It’s nice to know you have our backs.
