Thanks to Pete Mayer

Pete Mayer has been an integral and invaluable part of the Open Space Conservancy Trust’s stewardship of Pioneer Park. His advice and insights, as assistant city manager and Parks and Recreation director, have guided the Trustees in requests of resources from and accountability to the city. His assessments of needs and opportunities, his reasoned judgment and organizational ability have helped the Trustees set priorities. Through his leadership, Parks and Recreation staff has provided the manpower and muscle through which the Trustees have maintained and nurtured Pioneer Park as a unique urban asset, an accessible forest preserve in the midst of a densely populated city.

Pete has significantly contributed to our quality of life here, and we wish him well on doing so for the citizens of Vancouver.
