Parenting strategies

Pancakes

The Mercer Island Fire Department will be hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to noon. Non-perishable food donations to benefit Northwest Harvest and MI food bank are welcomed. This could be the first chance to view the new fire engines.

Leap for Green

An Earth Day Celebration for kids of all ages is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 19 at the Community Center at Mercer View. Indoor and outdoor activities include music, storytelling, pizza, art, live reptile exhibits, gardening and more. The Monkey King

Youth Theatre Northwest Conservatory Troupe will present the story of the “The Monkey King,” by Wu Chen-En, beginning Friday, April 25, with an opening night gala.
