Art show

As a part of Third Thursday, Sept. 18, the Mercer Island Gallery will hold a reception for the Women Painters of Washington, between 5 and 7:30 p.m., at CCMV. The event will include meeting the artists, light refreshments and entertainment.

Senior trip

Seniors are invited to sign up for a trip to the Muckleshoot Casino. The bus leaves CCMV at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m., Sept. 12. The cost is $15.

Save a life

Mercer Island firefighters will hold First Aid with Adult CPR training at 9 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 13, at the North end fire station at 3030 78th Ave. S.E. There will also be training on Oct. 18 and Nov. 8. Cost is $30. Call to reserve your space: (206) 275-7607.
