Relay for Life is Saturday

Mercer Island’s 10th annual Relay for Life overnight event to support the American Cancer Society takes place from 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, until 7 a.m., Sunday, May 17, at Mercer Island High School. It is not too late to register. Create a team at www.mirelay.org. The event will feature entertainment, food and fun all night long.

Conservation district open house

King Conservation District will hold a public comment session between 4 and 6 p.m., May 19, at the Mercer Island Library, 4400 88th Ave. S.E. The District seeks input in advance of the 2010 special assessment to fund future conservation projects. For more information, go to www.kingcd.org.

Mercer Island Night at Safeco

Third Thursday is May 21

It is time again for the Third Thursday Art Walk in the Mercer Island Town Center, May 21. The theme is “BBQ Blues and Brews.” Come enjoy a BBQ at QFC, taste beer and food, and check out the offerings at local businesses. The fun and flavor begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m. at businesses in the Town Center.
