In response to the writer who felt that it was a bad time for city officials to make a trip to France, I must disagree. There is never a bad time to make a trip to France. I recommend a trip to France to everyone, but especially politicians. I think back to the days just before the Iraq War and I wonder, if George Bush had made a trip to France, maybe the country would now be a trillion dollars less in debt, Afghanistan would now be pacified, tens of thousands of Iraqis would still be alive, and most importantly, thousands of those who put themselves in harm’s way for our safety and freedom would still be alive. Yes, a trip to France is always a good idea.
