This summer, a construction crew is converting South Mercer Playfields to synthetic turf and lining them for soccer, lacrosse and football. The area will feature a small secondary playfield. The large ballfield will be LED lit, and one softball diamond will be fully turfed and LED lit and include new dugouts. The project is estimated to be completed by December/January.
