PAIGE PHYLLIS KING

12/29/1962 – 2/8/2017

Paige passed away February 8, 2017 of heart failure.

She was born at Stanford University Hospital, Palo Alto, CA. Although from a young age, spent the remainder of her life growing up and living in the greater Seattle area and Mercer Island.

In the early years she practiced ballet at the Cornish school, was a member of Jobes Daughters, did cheerleading, and graduated from Mercer Island High School where she played flute, enjoyed hiking classes, while majoring in the art program.

She went on to study at the University of Washington, was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and graduated in Industrial Design.

Following, she taught Junior High students art classes in her home on Mercer Island, finally working for many years at the Island Park Elementary School, interacting with youngsters in its lunch program. She loved working with them for many years but was forced to leave because of health problems.

Paige was truly talented in design and fine art and surrounded herself and family with stunningly beautiful abstract paintings.

She is survived by her father Indle King and will be laid to rest beside her mother, Rosalie Rosso King, in the Memorial Garden at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.
