Zachary Lohrer

August 22, 1971- February 15, 2024

Zach was born in Ketchikan, Alaska to Roger Lohrer and Susan McCoy. He graduated from Mercer Island H.S. in 1990 and worked in SE Alaska with his dad and others on commercial fishing boats. A quick learner, Zach returned to college and then joined Roger at Dock Street Brokers commercial boat brokerage. He then found his true calling designing commercial vessels and ferries for Seattle-based Elliott Bay Design Group, a job he loved and held until his passing. Golf, snowboarding, bird hunting and spending time with his many friends were favorite past times. He enjoyed fine cars, nice clothes, and gourmet food. Zach was outgoing, ambitious and intelligent. His wit and humor brought warmth and laughter to any room.

Surviving Zach are his parents Roger (Laurie) Lohrer and Susan McCoy; brother Michael (Kelley) Lohrer; sister Jennifer Scarlett; nephews Alex and Jack Lohrer. Zach leaves a bevy of friends, aunts and uncles, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his cherished wife Naomi Rossi.
