Reward offered for return of missing ‘Save Mercerdale Park’ signs | Letter

Several dozen “SAVE MERCERDALE PARK” signs that were placed in and around Town Center, including at least one that was placed on private property, have disappeared. The signs are red with white lettering. Our first thought was that the city might have removed them for mowing or because they were illegal.

But when we checked with the city, it turns out that they had not removed them, and that they are legal because they are not related to the election.

Please, if you removed them, perhaps thinking you were helping to clean up after the election, we hope you will either replace them in the places you found them or return them to us. If you wish to return them, please contact us at protectMIparks@gmail.com and we will arrange to meet you at your convenience. We are offering a reward of $5 per sign.

We assume that no Mercer Islander would intentionally remove signs that share information with the public to prevent that information from being shared. So we do hope to see the signs either returned to their previous locations or to us.
