A trio of 14U Islander baseball players led their NW Elite Team to fourth place out of 16 teams at the USA Baseball Cup, which was held July 12-14 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

Edgar Nakamura, Austin Cupic and Max Clark, along with their teammates from across Western Washington and one from Victoria, British Columbia, traveled together, played in 100-degree, 80-percent-humidity weather and won their first three games against some stiff competition.
