Mercer Island High School’s boys swim and dive (SWIVE) team began practices on April 5 for the upcoming season.

Coach Jennie King returns for her second year with the team, which won the 3A state championship last season. This season will feature four dual swim meets and two dive meets.

Returners from the state title squad are captains Dan Gao, who has committed to Pomona College; Kieran Watson, who has committed to Denver University; and John Novak and Collin Ralston, who are both undecided.

At post time, swim meets were set for April 27 and 29 and May 4 and 6; dive meets were set for April 28 and May 5. Dates are subject to change.
