Mercer Island closes regular season with win over Holy Names | Prep girls lacrosse

The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team secured a second-place finish in the Alki division standings with a 17-4 win over Holy Names in the league finale Wednesday night at Mercer Island High School.

The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team secured a second-place finish in the Alki division standings with a 17-4 win over Holy Names in the league finale Wednesday night at Mercer Island High School.

Allison Myers scored four goals for the Islanders (7-5-0, 4-1-0), while Maille Moll scored twice and had four assists. Katie Brodsky had two goals, two assists and won six draw controls against Holy Names (1-3-1, 3-8-1), and Holly Waggoner scored a goal to go along with eight assists. In the net, Keeley Hobson had eight saves.

Mercer Island will begin the state tournament next week, with the first round taking place May 9 and 10.
