In the 200 relay medley Issaquah won the race in 1:42.49, while Mercer Island’s team of Andrew Weiss, Noah Deparine, Ian Caldwell and Brandt Waesche took second in 1:42.93.

The Islanders also finished third in 1:47.97 with the group of Harrison Leeds, Samuel Chong, Austin Ralph and Matthew Hanson.

Issaquah’s Henry Pratt won the 200 freestyle event in 1:56.30, followed by Ben Nussbaum taking second for Issaquah. Samuel Peterson was third in 2:00.32, Topher Lacrampe was fourth in 2:02.79 and Peter Litzow was fifth in 2:04.95.

Weiss won the 200 individual medley race in 2:08.03, a district qualifying time. Teammate Teddy Larkin was fourth, Leeds was fifth and Josheph Li was sixth.

Deiparine was the individual winner of the 50 freestyle race, finishing in 22.57 to qualify for the state meet. Caldwell finished in fourth in 23.33, followed by Waesche in fifth and Ben Simontov in seventh place.

Senior Cody Hall won the diving competition with a total of 184.80 points, while Connor Nielson was second with 120.95. Doug McLellan finished in fourth with 106.45 points for Mercer Island.

Chong finished in second place in the 100 butterfly race, finishing in 57.23, while Weiss was third in 57.46 and Leeds was sixth overall.

Waesche finished in second place in the 100 freestyle event, taking the second spot in 51.53 seconds, qualifying for districts. Ralph was fourth, while Peterson was sixth and Simontov was seventh.

The 500 freestyle race was won by Keith Nussbaum of Issaquah in 5:11.34. Nick Swaya was the top Mercer Island finisher, in second place, with a time of 5:25.22. Jack Larkin was fourth in 5:46.36 and Jake Jenkins was fifth in 5:47.60.

Mercer Island won with 200 freestyle relay with the team of Waesche, Caldwell, Peterson and Deiaprine, winning the race in 1:33.18. The third place team from Mercer Island included Daryl Kwan, Releigh Greutert, Leeds and Ford Whitman, finishing in 1:40.93.

Issaquah’s Willy Matsuada won the 100 backstroke event, finishing in 58.62. Caldwell finished the event in third place with a time of 1:02.24, followed by Litzow in fourth and Jack Larkin in fifth.

Chong won his second individual event in the 100 breast stroke race, finishing in 1:03.25, while Teddy Larkin was fourth in 1:13.58.

In the final event of the meet, the 400 freestyle relay, Mercer Island’s Weiss, Peterson, Chong and Deiparine teamed up to win in 3:25.55, while Kwan, Hanson, Swaya and Litzow finished the relay in third place in 3:38.82.

The Islanders will host Interlake on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 3:30 p.m. at Mary Wayte Pool.
