The Mercer Island fastpitch team lost to Juanita on Tuesday afternoon, falling 5-1 to the Rebels.

Mercer Island had the early lead, up 1-0 and the end of the first inning. Juanita took the lead on the board with three runs in the top of the third, followed by two runs in the sixth to win the game.

Mercer Island pitcher Morgan Peyou threw for seven innings, giving up 11 hits, five runs and striking out one.

The Islanders will host Liberty on Thursday, April 25 in a 4:30 p.m. game.
