Mercer Island was up 3-0 until Lake Washington scored it’s first run of the game in the top of the third inning. The Islanders made it a 4-1 game in the fourth inning, but the Kangs scored three times in the fifth and twice in the seventh to take the game.

Mercer Island had four runs off five hits and two errors, while the Kangs had six runs on five hits and one error.

Nick Chandler was 1-2 at the plate during the game, with one run and one RBI, while Steven Petrie was 1-3 with one run and one RBI. Brian Higgins was 0-3 at the plate with one run.

Karsten Sherman pitched for almost three innings during the game, allowing tow hits and two runs with four strike outs.

The Islanders will play at Sammamish on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.
