Mercer Island soccer players lead program to collect cleats for Africa

Soccer2Unite is a nonprofit organization that has worked since 1973 to enrich underprivlleged children’s lives through the sport of soccer. The philanthropic project, which was led by Mercer Island High School soccer players Reis Kissel, Hunter Bauman and Alex Platou over the summer, concluded with more than 100 pairs of soccer cleats, 200 soccer balls and more than 75 full soccer uniform kits and a variety of additional soccer gear collected.
