Mercer Island swim team earns third place at districts

The Mercer Island Islanders girls swim team captured third place at the Class 3A Sea-King District II girls swim and dive championships on Nov. 4 at Newport High School in Bellevue. The Islanders finished with a total of 139 team points. Holy Names Academy finished in fourth place with 138 points.
