Northwood student snags two judo gold medals

Northwood Elementary School student Mikhail Zulaev notched a pair of gold medals at the Junior Olympic Judo Championships in Bedford Park, Illinois, from June 20-22. In the USA Judo Federation event, Zulaev participated in the national and international stages of the competition and placed first twice in the boys’ 2015 birth year Bantam 6 category, up to 39 kg.
