The Juanita Rebels girls basketball team defeated the Mercer Island Islanders 53-43 in the KingCo 3A tournament on Feb. 7. Islanders’ freshman Annabelle Gersch scored a team-high 18-points in the loss. The Islanders will play in a loser-out, district playoff game against an opponent yet to be determined from the Metro League at 7 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Bellevue College.
