Rounding the bases: MIHS Baseball holds caravan for varsity seniors
The season was cut short for Mercer Island High School’s varsity baseball team, but that wasn’t going to stop the Islanders from recognizing the senior members of the club.
On May 1, a caravan of baseball players and family caravaned around the island, stopping at a dozen houses to honor the outgoing players. Many of the seniors have been playing ball since they were children.
The caravan pulled up to the houses of Diego Lopez, Joey Gallagher, Chris Fuchs, Duke Brotherton, Carson Ernst, Lukas Varney, Luke and Nate Wenzel, Jack Hixon, Jack Shoop, Kyle Wu, Liam Rogan and Rory Shanks.
