Islanders lacrosse athletes give back to the community

Members of the Mercer Island Lacrosse Club spent the evening of Dec. 12 volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission’s Hope Place in Seattle. The players prepared and served dinner to more than 100 guests who enjoyed a meal of chicken satay, rice, peanut sauce, mixed vegetables, fruit skewers and a brownie sundae bar. The Union Gospel Mission’s Hope Place is a shelter that serves women and children. Mercer Island boys lacrosse players Peter Davis, Paul Murdoch, Hunter Johnson, Rurger Marks and Stu Vassau are pictured in the above photo.
