Eye on MI photo contest winners

The first ever Eye on MI photo contest yielded 54 submissions of Island life from the past and present. Mercer Island Reporter staff and Omega Photo have chosen five winners.
• Best overall photo: Dog with statue, by Duke Coonrad
• Best people shot: Imitating statue, by Carrie Wernick Newman
• Best hidden Island spot: Backyard adventure, by Regan McCrary
• Best with all other cameras: Goose, by Jake Eisner, and Rainbow over MI, by Carrie Bell.
The category for best cell phone picture was changed, as there were no specific entries for that category.
