The Puget Sound Association of Phi Beta Kappa honored Carol Wiseley, a longtime international entrepreneurship instructor for DECA at Mercer Island High School, with its Pathfinder Award at an April 27 luncheon.

The Pathfinder Award honors those who encourage others to seek new worlds to discover, pathways to explore, and untouched destinations to reach. Carol Wiseley was recognized for inspiring students to be business leaders on both the international and postsecondary stage. Under her guidance, students have learned the skills of corporation development, civic engagement, and service learning while establishing actual trading partnerships in Ghana, China and Kenya.
